As Honorary Secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB), under the guidance of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, I have led the transformation of the Gita Mahotsav from a local event to a major international celebration, attracting over 4.2 million attendees in 2019. KDB has organized the Mahotsav abroad in Mauritius and London and has plans for further editions in Canada and Australia. In the 48 Kos region, I introduced a daily tourist bus service to sacred sites and spearheaded development efforts at over 70 pilgrimage spots. KDB has also published coffee table books on regional heritage.
In my tenure, KDB launched the Krishna Circuit project and daily Maha Aarti rituals at Brahmasarovar, designated as a Swatch Iconic Place. Initiatives like a light and sound show at Jyotisar and exhibitions at national sites have increased awareness of Kurukshetra’s heritage. I established KDB’s social media department, upgraded its office with a tourist gallery, and set up information centers under the Krishna Circuit Project.
My contributions to Kurukshetra’s infrastructure include proposals for a new railway station, an elevated track, and tourism-focused road designs. I actively engage in NGOs focused on Kurukshetra’s development and hold memberships in Vision Kurukshetra and Divya Kurukshetra Mission.
In addition, I earned the NCC ‘C’ certificate, won a national shooting competition, and was school president in 1988. I am an active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since 1982 and Haryana State Co-Ordinator of the Hindu Helpline since 2013.
